The team of PR agency ITCOMMS conducted an extensive analysis of media and social media mentions related to Kazakh startups.
Based on the gathered data, was compiled a ranking of the most popular startups.
Ranking of Startups for the First Half of 2023
The leaders of the ranking for the first half of 2023 were Cerebra, Citix, and Daryn.online. These startups received the highest number of mentions and media coverage across Kazakhstani media and social media platforms from January 1, 2023, to June 30, 2023.
Ranking for the First and Second Quarters of 2023
In the first quarter of 2023, Cerebra took the lead with the most significant media and social media coverage (606.9 thousand mentions).
In the second place was 1Fit with 443.4 thousand mentions, followed by Citix with 337.5 thousand mentions.
During the second quarter of 2023, Citix experienced a remarkable increase in media and social media mentions, totaling 957.8 thousand mentions, which was more than 2.5 times its previous count.
Daryn.online also witnessed substantial growth in media and social media coverage, soaring from 228.4 thousand mentions to 795.1 thousand.
Notably, some startups demonstrated exceptional growth in media and social media mentions and coverage from the first quarter of 2023. Chocofamily saw an impressive increase of 3,467.2%, followed by Relog with 3,385.19%, Arbuz.kz with 1,536.9%, Naimi.kz with 1,071.31%, and Med365 with 826.53%.
Methodology
The rankings were built upon an analysis of publications from news websites in the Republic of Kazakhstan and various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and others.
The analysis focused on the mentions of keywords related to Kazakh startups in these publications.
The overall media coverage included the number of views received by publications mentioning the startups on websites and social media platforms.
